The goal of this week-long workshop, organized by Julio Belmonte (Physics), was to train a diverse cohort of scientists—including biologists, engineers, and physicists—in CytoSim modeling of biological phenomena. The workshop brought together 34 participants from across North America, with some attending virtually, and featured two additional instructors (François Nédélec and Daniel Cortes) as well as several distinguished guest lecturers. Support for the workshop was provided by Julio’s NSF CAREER award, along with funds from QCDB, CMI, and the Department of Physics.
